DAZStudio - Tipps & Tricks

  1. Bookmarks and scripts are destroyed
  2. Configuration of the system has changed
  3. DAZ crashes during rendering - 1 possible solution

    Problem:

    Solution:

When your daz crashes, you have to

    - clean all daz cashes (temp-folder in %temp% and a few in %appdata%)
    - install the newest graphic-driver. You need the studio-version (NVIDIA).
    - switch from speed-render to "memory"
    - reduce the resolution of the textures (Scene optimizer, but be carefully, it reduces the quality too)

Regardless, one possible solution is to clear the DS and DSON cache:

By default, they are located here:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\temp
    and
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\dson\cache

If you can not see your AppData folder, type %appdata% in the Start menu or in the explorer and Windows will open the hidden folder.

Simply delete the files in the two folders mentioned above
