    Problem:


    After installing a new DAZ version you see the error-message: "DAZ Studio cannot be run with elevated permissions".

    This problem happens, when you have installed DAZ with admin-rights! NEVER DO THIS!


    Unfortunately this problem can't be solved fully this way without a full de- and reinstallation of DAZ (or some special parts)

    Solution:



    1. One partially soulution is to remove the checkmarks in Compatibility mode:
    Right click on the DAZStudio.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility and there uncheck all boxes. (Last image)

    2. Best way is to use this suggestion:
    Please go to C:/Program Files/DAZ 3D and right-click on the DAZ3DIM folder.
    From here click on Properties > Security.
    Highlight (select) Users under Group or user names.
    Click Edit.
    Again select Users under Group or user names.
    Make sure that Read, Write, and Modify are checked under Allow.
    Click Apply.
    Then click OK.
    Now try running the Daz Install Manager

    This problem is similar to Configuration of the system has changed
    Have a look there for installing.
